About Me.
My Story: From Johnson Homes to SpinDrop – A Philadelphia Dream

I am a son of Philadelphia, born from its rhythm and raised by its soul. My story is woven into the very fabric of this city's rich musical history, as the son of one of its hidden gems, the legendary "Mr. Terry Price-Grant", and one of the greatest women to ever walk this earth, "Mrs. Leona Smith", whose angelic voice was the first music I ever knew.

My journey began in the Johnson Homes Projects in 1968. From a tender age, the rhythm was in me—expressed through dance and a mind for organizing chaos. I remember trying to match my mother’s flawless notes, a young boy learning to feel music before he could even understand it.

But the path wasn't always straight. The streets offered a different kind of education, one that led me away from school and into trouble. By 14, I was steering my life in the wrong direction, a course that eventually led to a year in the juvie system. I was smart, but I channeled my intellect into survival mode in a world where drug abuse and selling drugs came before any vision.

In March of 1989, I was sentenced to 15-30 years. Those years behind bars were a crucible. It was there that a vision truly took hold—a vivid vision of putting my daughter on stage, of seeing my mother in the front row, while building something lasting with the music that had always been my birthright.

Released in 2003, I made a vow: never to go back. I had two precious jewels counting on me. It was time to be there for them, and not locked away from them. It was time to grow up.

In 2005, I teamed up with my childhood friend, "Gerald McClinton", and we founded "Ghetto Tunez", a production company dedicated to capturing the raw, untapped talent of Uptown Philadelphia. That fire grew into "Get Tough Ent. in 2007", a venture with my father that became a whirlwind. We built a massive 1800 sq. ft. studio, went on tour, and for a glorious moment, lived the dream. We shared stages on a comedy tour with "Cedric The Entertainer". I realized my prison vision: I put my daughter on the historic Academy of Music stage, with my mother and my other daughter beaming from the front row. We went through a significant investment, took our shot, and though the major deal didn’t materialize, we left nothing on the table.

The vision dimmed in 2010, but it never died.
Now, in 2025—exactly a decade after my mother’s passing—the vision is reborn, bigger and more focused than ever. Alongside Gerald, "Vermont Graves", and my father "Terry Price-Grant", we’ve built "SpinDrop Music Group LLC".

This is more than a company; it's my legacy. We hold a catalog of over 200 song concepts, a treasure trove of sound ready for the world. This time, it’s not just for the credit, moment or any dream. This time i see clearly till the end of the vision. It’s for my children. It’s for my grandchildren. It’s about forging "generational wealth for generations to come".
